Ice Sheet Models

Ice Sheet Models

Ice-sheet models are used to simulate the evolution, dynamics and thermodynamics of ice sheets during present day conditions, or the larger ice sheets present on the northern hemisphere during past glacial climatic periods. They can be used to study drivers and impacts of large-scale glacial–interglacial cycles in the past, or to estimate how future climate change may lead to changes in ice sheet conditions.
